Morning Spiderweb

Spider Spiderweb
Spider, Roscoe Village, Chicago

This morning on the walk to the train I was behind a woman and her two little boys. One was holding her hand and the other was walking behind them with his backpack on. I think the one trailing behind was a little older, maybe like 7(?), and they were maybe going to summer day camp or something? I don’t know. So, we’re walking along and the kid in the back starts freaking out and the mom is just like “yeh, yeh, come on, let’s go.” The boy pauses, takes one more look, then hurries on. I turned to see what he was looking at and there was a gigantic spiderweb between a street sign pole and a parked car. I felt kind of bad for him, because I’m sure he wanted to stay and look at it longer, and that’s exactly what I did. And took a few photos, of course.

I feel sorry for the spider because i am an arachnophobe and i hate flies but the boy was right to look because webs are pretty cool and the spider doesent deserve it so I set it on fire because i like spiders and am a pyromaniac and an arachnophobe because a spider deserves a good web.
