Last Saturday I met up with some of my new coworkers for a photo walk. A few of the engineers have way better cameras and lenses and equipment than me so it’s good to have them around to learn more. Our conference rooms on one of our floors at work are named after Chicago neighborhoods and our mission on Saturday was to take some photographs of Wrigleyville and Lake View for those rooms. I guess we did what we accomplished but I was kind of disappointed with my photos. I didn’t come back with much that hasn’t been photographed 1,000 times before. Hey, there’s Wrigley Field! zzzz. These are a few I liked.
Also, one really cool thing: We walked all the way to the lake and there we found a few men attending to the Purple Martin birdhouses. They said they were with a “Friends of the Park” program and were removing mites from newly born birds. They told us a bit about the program and it seems like they’re had a really successful survival rate.
I used my coworker, Jon’s, Canon 17-40mm lens when I took these photos.
