Yesterday it was Adil’s birthday. Chris asked him what he wanted and he said he wanted and he said he wanted a photograph with the FeedBurner group. So we gathered whoever was left in the office and took a photo. Happy birthday, Adil!

Drinking Belgium beers can be a bit tricky! But if you drink it slow, take your time and eat with it, your are doing fine.
I have a few suggestions for next time: Mort Subiet is a very traditional beer, take your time for it. It is strong, has a very soft, distinctive flavour.
One of my personale favourites is ‘Verboden Vrucht’ (Forbidden Fruit), take a good look at the label on the bottle! Very fruitfull, very strong.
Probably not available as supplies are low: Westvleteren Abt. If you can get it: enjoy it as if it is the last thing you do on this world. I manage to treat myself on Westvleteren Abt once in about three years. I can still remember all the times I had this exceptional beer.
And if you want to start the evening with a surprising taste: Carlsberg Elephant. The perfect way of serving it is in a very large glass with a very heavy bottom. Freeze the glass, and your beer will stay cool for a very long time, but you will still have a beautifull ‘nose’ as you drink.
And if you want to skip disappointment: stay away from Heineken. A good Dutch beer is Alfa, that is what I have in my fridge. It has a very clear taste, with a good tone of bitter. But the brewery is very small, so it is probably not available in The States.
Enjoy your next visit there!

It’s “Belgian” beers, right? Not “Belgium”. People don’t call Budweiser an “America” beer.
