Deviled Eggs
Amanda’s birthday was on April 6, Stephanie’s was on April 7, and Easter is on the 8th, so it was cause for celebration. I made these deviled eggs adapting a recipe from Simply Recipes. Elise’s methods there for boiling the eggs really worked out well. At the end my mixture was a little dry and slightly bland, so I added in some horseradish sauce and a some of the tasty zing of Miracle Whip salad dressing. After all, I was raised in Wisconsin and didn’t even know that Miracle Whip wasn’t mayonnaise until I was 20-something. I also added a few liberal shakes of Lawry’s seasoned salt. More on Chicagoist, where I asked, “How do you devil eggs?”

That’s so funny…I’m from the midwest, too and I didn’t know that Miracle Whip wasn’t mayonnaise until I was in my late teens or early twenties!!

Miracle Whip isn’t mayonnaise?
Your deviled eggs are so pretty! I made them with capers and tarragon.
