On our drive to the north shore of Kaua’i, we stopped at the ancient Maniniholo Dry Cave, which is across the street from Ha’ene State Park. One time when I drove with Rob, Sarah and Cousin to the north shore of Kaua’i we stopped there too. It’s pretty neat. It starts at the base of a cliff. Inside is dark and creepy. I never saw, but I heard that in the back of it there’s a hole that comes out the side of the mountain. Also, I heard that it used to be much bigger but a tsunami in the 1950s half-filled it with sand.

Beautiful photos and you’re making me itching to head back to the islands. Kauai is by far my favorite island and you’re bringing back wonderul memories. Why everyone thinks Maui is so terrific is beyond me.
