Gillin’s Beach, Kaua’i

On our first full day in Kaua’i, Dallas and John went to golf the Kiele Course at Kauai Lagoons Golf Club. Susan, Caroline, Carrie, Tammy and I went to Costco and Big Save to stock up the condo for the week. Normally, we’d just have gone to Big Save, but only because the Costco just opened in the fall and didn’t exist before. We thought, “why get a regular-sized bottle of rum when you can get a Costco-sized bottle of rum?” … and other stuff too. With 10 or more people staying in the condos, we could use some Costco-sized groceries.

We stopped back at the condo to put things away, pack a small lunch, make some drinks, and change into our bathing suits, then it was off to Gillin’s Beach. Gillin’s is part of Mahaulepu Beach and is also the beach we discovered and went to a couple times the last time we were in Kaua’i. I like it so much. It’s so pretty and there’s always hardly anyone there.

After the beach, we met back up with Dallas and John to drink some Steinlager around the hot tub at our condo before going to dinner.
