Bears in the Super Bowl

Bears Van, Roscoe Village, Chicago

Picture%204.pngI would never say I’m cheering for the Bears, but honestly, I can’t wait for the game. And this is just because I’m sick of hearing about it and all the hype and you know that on Chicagoist I just have to bite my tongue about it all.

This van is always parked in my neighborhood. I see it just about every day.

Also, it is too cold to do anything! We’re going to a Super Bowl party but it’s so cold to walk to the supermarket to bring anything. Yesterday when we were out we just went to Costello’s and bought some family-sized sides and we’ll probably just bring whatever random beer and wine we have around the house. Luckily we’re catching a ride to the party.

    yeah. i’ve been pretty quiet. i mean, rooting for an AFC team from indiana kind of blows, but still. once a packer fan, always a packer fan.

    my good friend, shawn, tried to tell me that i have to root for the city i live in. cool, i’m down with that, if it’s NOT THE BEARS. c’mon! are you kidding me? it’s bears/packers rivalry. i’m not rooting for them!

    it’ll be interesting to see what happens either way. i was hoping if they win that everyone would at least shut the hell up about the ’85 bears, but i was informed last night that it won’t happen because these bears “are faceless.” oh, great. so you might still win the peckin’ super bowl, and you’ll still keep talking about 1985. god.

    then my friend tried to coerce me by telling me all the republican candidates that peyton manning has given the maximum contribution amount to this last year. shit, girl. that’s too bad. cause i can’t mix my politics and sports. not now. not when the bears are in the super bowl. talk to me tomorrow.

    one last note. it’s pretty horrible when 20 degrees is sounding pretty awesome. god.

    Go Bears!
    My prediction;
    Bears 17
    Dolts 0

    I am originally from Maryland but now live in Indy. Us Marylanders have the memory of an elephant (and the butt of one too).

    I would have won $25 had Vinatieri made that FG at the end of the 2nd quarter. Otherwise I thought it was a good game. I would have been ok with the Bears winning. Then us Packer fans could have said we dominated the Super Bowl champions in our last game.
