Carson Pirie Scott on State Street is closing. It’s a sad occassion, but if you’re in the area, you should stop by. I got a new Nine West bag and new Michelle K shoes, both for 40% off. Dallas got a couple dress shirts, a stocking cap, and some socks. Exciting, I know.

The people that are boycotting Macy’s should take note. While it’s sad that the Marshall Field’s name is history, the store survives, pretty much intact (except for some items). If their boycott is successful, the old Field’s store may meet the same fate as Carsons.
