For a Book on Ukrainian Immigration

Earlier this year, someone representing the Primary Education Division of Macmillan Publishing in New Zealand contacted me about purchasing photographs of the Ukrainian community in Chicago. They were to be used for a series of children’s educational books about Immigration into the US and would be in American and Australian schools. I ended up only selling them the photo above, but it was a unique experience. US to New Zealand for books used in the US and Australia. The pay rate was kind of weird too. What they’d pay me in NZ money didn’t convert well into US dollars so I had to get them to go up some. I should be getting a copy of the book soon. They said it’d be published by the end of the year.

They also wanted to know if I had photos of the Guatemalan community in Chicago. I’ve eaten at a couple Guatemalan restaurants here, but other than that, no dice.
