Spy Camera!, Roscoe Village, Chicago
Roscoe Village, Chicago
It took 4 men an hour at my house! I can only imagine how long they were standing around at the store trying to decide which one to get! Nevermind though, Dallas; his cousin, Danny; his brother, Jordan; and his dad, George, got it together and working. It’s a solid grill. The best one I’ve ever had. I guess it beats the camping grill I’ve used for years… the one Dallas refused to have anything to do with. And, it has this pull thing so you can flatten these metal vent things (I obviously have no idea) so that you can put charcoal on there .. it can be a 3-burner gas grill OR a charcoal grill.
Tonight we made steak and chicken and potatoes and Dallas’ cousins Danny, Miko and Cory came over for dinner. Yum!! We’ve got a lot of grilling to get in before the weather turns cold!
I realize it does get rather chilly out there in the wintertime, but if you strategically put your grill in a good spot on the deck (barring snowdrifts and the like), you could do some grilling during the cold months. Just a thought.
It’s cool that you’re allowed to grill on your lanai (hehehe). I know some people have rules about that kind of thing . . .
That’s funny: all local-looking guys assembling a hibachi on a Chicago porch!
gas! gas!
shannan’s uncles have a cast iron grill because it gets too “cold” in portland.
we can only have a gas grill on the deck attached to the apartment. this grill does convert to charcoal too, though, in case we want to do it that way. down on the common patio area we can have charcoal.. you can see 2 webers in the second photo, if you look really close.
Too cold? We shovel off our patio in the winter just so we can use the grill.
If it ain’t kiawe, it ain’t grillin’.
And I only barbeque between 70-85 degrees F.
