Roscoe Village, Chicago
Even if I can’t find anything, all the stuff is in the new place. Last night I turned my old keys in and got my deposit, so I officially live in Roscoe Village now. The reality of my new commute* set in this morning when I arrived late for a meeting at work - a meeting I didn’t know about because the email was sent out this weekend and I don’t have an internet connection at home yet. Hopefully that problem will be resolved tomorrow, but still, don’t expect much from me here for a bit.
* New commute is 30 minutes walking and 30 minutes on the train. The walk is split 15 minutes between the new apartment and the train and 15 minutes between work and the train.

What a pain. I hate moving! Congrats on settling into your new place, though.

An hour seems about right. Mine is 45 minutes, from the Addison Brown Line to Merchandise Mart. Most of that time is spent waiting for the train and walking to and from the train. Switching at Belmont takes time too.
Of course, if I lived in the ‘burbs, I could spend that time burning gas on the expressway.

Yeah, forgot to warn you about that. The Paulina stop can be busy, too…
Glad to hear you’re moved in.

Just wait until the all the fun fall and winter weather sets in….not that the summer heat or spring rains are fun either. Then you’ll know every step and puddle along the way and who does/doesn’t shovel their sidewalks, yadayadayada….that’s why I now live in Scottsdale, AZ. : )
