City Cloud

citycloud.gif

I took this screenshot of my Blogbeat stats a few weeks ago. It shows the origins of visitors to rachelleb.com. The larger the city name, the more people from that area. Chicago is, of course, the biggest, but it’s interesting to see where all of my other visitors are from. At the time I think there were over 1,000 cities represented for about 6 weeks of stats.

Some cities I look at and think instantly of who I know from there that may be looking at the site, others I’ve never even heard of or even have any idea where in the world they’re located.

Do you see your city?

  1. Oak Creek… is this based on the actual number of visitors like you said, or the number of hits?

Who’s providing the heavy traffick from Bear Creek?

  2. Palma de Mallorca (Spain), that’s me!

You take wonderful pictures and I was willing to tell you. I discovered your website thanks to google images because I was looking for a picture and I liked it so much that I took a closer look. I had The Swan Lake going in the background…sweet music (ok, a bit tacky too) mixed with food all over the screen…it killed my diet completely but I had a good time. I’m not a fan of blogs because those who write them forget the details that make them neat and amusing. Yours spoils my sight with great pictures and spoils my taste with dishes I know I shouldn’t even think about.

I will try to make my city name much bigger!

  3. Yep – I see Bloomington, IL! You don’t know me personally, and I must admit that I do not recall how I came upon Chicagoist and rachelleb.com, but I ADORE your blog and photos. Thanks much!

    A~

  4. Waupaca is there! But amazingly New London is not!!! I too saw the size of bear creek ! Ha ! unless it’s from another state! Your the Best Girl, keep it up ~hugs~

  5. Craiova is there, and it is not one of the smallest. You take great pictures, food and everything else. I see someone else left an enthusiastic message about the same thing I apreciate about your blog so I’ll keep it short.

  6. Hey, Rachelle,

I currently hail from Cincinnati though I have a job interview in Chicago coming up. I really hope I get to move to that wonderful city! Your website w/ its great pictures keeps me motivated towards my goal of eventually getting to Chicago.

PS- My sister recently moved to Noble Square from Evanston and as we walked around, I recognized many things from your website! We even went to the Bongo Room and it was sooo good! My sister says she would have never noticed it if it wasn’t for me reading your website! 🙂

  7. Hello. I’m from Brasília, and the only one I guess…

I simply love your photos and your food posts. They taste delicious! 😉

  8. Hey Rachelle!

    Cheers,

    Brian
