After all that relaxation, I was ready for some fun. Jess called to tell me that she was going out with a couple of my former coworkers at Monster, so I met up with them for some brewskis at Ear Inn, a slice from Joe’s*, and a cupcake at Magnolia Bakery**.

* Actually, I had 2 slices, not because I was super hungry, but because I missed it so much. I miss New York pizza a lot. And it’s not like it’s the best pizza in the entire world, I just miss being within a block of a $2 slice any day and any time. While there I also flirted my way into the back to use a seatless toilet (I really had to go!). We also discussed the proper way to fold a slice and the fact that I apparently jump from subject to subject in a conversation with out any sort of segues(?). There used to be 2 Joe’s on this block, but the one right on the Carmine/Bleecker corner closed. That’s the one I used to go to like every other day. It was about 2 blocks from my old apartment. The one a few storefronts down on Carmine that we went to tastes just as good, but just not the same as the old Joe’s.

** We didn’t get to the bakery til about midnight and there was only one cupcake left for Jess and I to share.

the joe’s you went to is the same as the one on the corner. and there should still be another one closer to the subway.

and that’s some hot girl on girl (cupcake) action.
