On Thursday when I arrived at Jess’s in Hoboken, I was so exhausted! We caught up, had lunch and then Jess went into work. Not wanting to be tired for the entire trip, I took the opportunity to chill out on the waterfront. It was a beautiful day.
You’ll see that for the most part, I took all black & white photos this trip out. Two reasons: 1) I had just read an article on creativity that said if you want to see things in a different way, try shooting black & white. It makes you see things fresh, in shades of gray, and makes you take photographs in a way you wouldn’t normally. It definately made me think, when a lot of times I just shoot without thinking. 2) I’ve taken so many photos of New York, I just wanted to do something unique from what I’d already done.

I have always liked your photography. Your camera eye is good. You take the oddest pics with humor, insight, even an artistic touch. But you always add to your photography through your words. You dont just take a picture of a taco. You tell where the taco came from, how it came into your posession and where the viewers can get their very own taco.
