Does anyone know what park this is on the corner of Damen and Belmont? At first I thought it was Hamlin Park, but that seems to be farther south.

Addison is a busy street, but mostly residential. And all the streets coming off of it are residential too. I think the buildings you see are representative of most of the housing in Roscoe Village. It makes me think .. how there are rows of 2-flats and houses that look exactly the same.. these days everyone’s always bitching about the new condos that are going up that are all the same. Do you think back when all these 2-flats and houses were being built people were sitting there like “Damn! ANOTHER two story house?” or “Man, they’re tearing down that old place for ANOTHER 2-flat!” Somehow, I doubt it.

I’d be willing to bet that Western Avenue has the most car dealerships of any other street in Chicago. No matter where you are on Western they’re selling or servicing cars! When I took this top photo some guy came out and thought I was taking a photo of a car I liked and asked if he could “make a photo” with me in it too.

I forgot I was going to post these photos of my dad with his winter beard yesterday. They were taken with my camera phone. I’ve never had a camera phone before because I’m always carrying an actual camera with me and I thought “what’s the use?” but since I got this killer free phone with free service in The Program That Won’t Be Named Here because that’s what they want me to do, I decided to try it out.

After eating at Bongo Room, my dad and I went to the Museum of Science and Industry. I’d been there one time before but hadn’t seen all of the exhibits. I think the exhibits we saw this week were all different form the ones I saw last time and I still haven’t seen the entire museum. It’s big!
