Harold’s Chicken, Wicker Park, Chicago
I saw this sign on Milwaukee Ave. last week that Harold’s Chicken is coming, but didn’t know what Harold’s Chicken was. Seems like it’s a popular chicken joint on the South Side. Does anyone know if this is the same Harold’s Chicken? Check out -

Reverse gentrification?

Harold’s is trying out locations away from its south side roots. They’ve had a few locations in the downtown area for several years.

Harold’s is a franchised operation. Some franchisee decided that this particular stretch of Milwaukee might work well. I’m not entirely sure it will, but I’m glad to have it near my office until it fails.
Harold’s quality varies greatly depending on the franchise. Some locations are truly mediocre or awful, some are sublime. Time will tell which category this falls into. When Harold’s is good, it’s great.
