Waterless Shampoo at Walgreens, Magnificent Mile, Chicago
I saw this waterless shampoo at Walgreens and I don’t know why, but it really skeeved me out. Are there really enough campers and shut-ins to warrant the manufacture of this product?

Clearly there are, but judging by the name, it’s supposed to be a secret.
ummm……just take a look at all the homeless loitering outside that Walgreen’s and I think you’ll see another one of its very likely prime markets and I don’t think you can argue the numbers on that one. Not everyone probably uses it as convenience – its probably necessary, if they can or choose to afford it.
The name alone is priceless…Psssssst! That’s pure genius. Whose idea was it to put 6 s’s in there? (“Five is not enough and seven is too many.”)
And don’t get too freaked out yet. Save that for when they put toilet paper in aerosol form.
I remember my mom using something similar (but with a less creepy name) when she was too sick to shower. I would guess it’s big with the elderly or infirmed who can’t shower as often as we would all like.
PSSST is a product I remember from the 70′s. I had no clue they still made it. My mom had some back in the day to use on her wig when she wanted to spruce it up but not have to wash and style it. However the front of the can used to be very Peter Maxy/psychedlic. That’s pretty awesome to find!
I had to use something similar after I had surgery and couldn’t shower for a week. It made my hair soooo much more greasy and disgusting than it was from simply not washing it. Ewww!
I had to use this stuff back in the ’70s after a car wreck that left me in bed for a couple of months. It was disgusting…it’s just like using baby-powder in your hair. Don’t do it, yall…It’s better to have dirty hair than powdery, itchy, greasy PSSSSSST hair!
