Maybe it’s not so bad.

The photo is of cheese curds I’ve been enjoying today. My mom picked them up on her way down from WI on Monday. They squeak in your teeth so you know they are fresh.

Today was my first day unemployed. I’m trying to enjoy it because I know that no one really is looking for people for the next few weeks and that most people are on vacation. I slept off a hangover, finished some Christmas shopping, bought groceries, made chocolate covered peanuts and pecans, and made potatoes au gratin.

You just posted pictures from your work holiday party…and now you’re unemployed?

Also, I think now is a GREAT time to start looking for a job. My job for example is hiring about 10 new positions (of varying degree). Budgets have been approved and people are looking to fill those positions for 2006. I myself have been contacted twice about positions (one through a recruiter and one through an old friend).

Whoa, sorry to hear that you’re out of a job. Good luck!

Are Wisconsin cheese curds typically orange? Though they probably taste the same upstate NY curds are always white.

Now I am craving Culvers, nothing says Wisconsin like fried cheese curds and frozen custard.

Yes, enjoy this time off – but I agree with Sarah. Josh has been having more interviews lately as well. Could be a good time to start looking!

You’re unemployed? What happened? I’m sorry that happened to you.

I like how you celebrate food instead of trying to deny its existence.

even if it is a good time i’m still just taking a week or whatever just to take a breather and enjoy the holidays. it’s only been a day or two, I don’t think I need to start worrying yet.

Hey Rachelle, sucks about the job. But last year it was the best thing that happend to me. Good luck and if you need a ref let me know. I also may have side work for you.

nice to see yellow and orange curds integrated, but deep fried curds? Very, very wrong.

Rachelle! I just heard. I’m sooo sorry. Just when I was starting to get to know you… Your such a nice person. Now it will be all quiet and the only person we can pick on is Greg. We won’t have any more candy reminding us of our childhood! =P Keep in touch, who knows I might run into you and Dallas at El Pollo Loco again or even at the Aloha Grill.
