Happy Bullets, The Vice & Virtue Ministry

happybullets.jpgI first heard about the Happy Bullets on a podcast. I’m not even sure which one, but I remember liking them so I went to their website and found that I could download an mp3 of their song “The Vice and Virtue Ministry.” And now I can’t stop listening to it. It’s got a catchy medly and the lyrics are kind of funny – about learning how to be hoity toity.

The Vice & Virtue Ministry

At the Vice & Virtue Ministry you’ll earn your etiquette degree
Climb the ranks and join us here amongst the bourgeoisie
We all laugh endlessly
Extend our pinkies when we drink
And thumb our noses at the lower classes in the penny seats

You’ll move up socially, fall in love with aristocracy, wear the right clothes, say the right things
Then you just might meet the Queen
We’ll have our guests to tea, play croquet on the greens, wear our monocles
Quote articles from Tennyson and Keats

Spend our days at gay soirees and wave from royal parades
Spend our evenings counting earnings
Yachting down the Thames

I’ve been the same way with that song. It’s sooo awesome. I was disappointed with their other songs at their Myspace (www.myspace.com/thehappybullets ) page though. Too bad.
