Rachelle & Dallas :: Renaissance Hotel, The Loop, Chicago

Killian & Dallas’ company party this year was at the Renaissance Hotel. It was pretty much like a wedding: banquet room, sit down dinner, open bar, dj and dancing. We stayed til 10 or 11 and then went over to Alison’s holiday party in the West Loop.

The party was fine, the thing that sucked was getting there. I’d just gotten new party shoes and there’s like a half foot of snow outside I wasn’t about to walk in. We called for a cab and it never came, called back and it never came. We were trying to call 2 different cab companies over and over and the calls weren’t even going through. Finally Dallas went over and walked to the cab stand about 5 blocks away. There weren’t any cabs there and there was a line of people waiting for something to show up. Somehow he got lucky and found a cab on the street then swung by and picked me up ont he way to the party.
