After visiting the World War II Monument, Kelly and Jeff and I walked over to the National Museum of the American Indian, a museum that just opened a little over a year ago. Everything is so new there and I really liked the exhibits and how they incorporated video. Also, the restaurant there was pretty cool because it featured Native foods found throughout the Western Hemisphere.

After the museum we grabbed some dinner at a Thai restaurant near DuPont Circle. We finished off the night by seeing a Keegan Theatre production of A Streetcar Named Desire at the Church Street Theater.

    Where’s G’ma Susie?

The day we went into DC she had to catch her flight out. She was there for Thanksgiving but I don’t have any photos of her.

I’ve never seen any adaptation of Streetcar, but last night I happened to check out the movie version with Marlon Brando from the Library.

Up to this point my only real knowlenge of the story is from when Marge and Flanders were in the play on the Simpsons.

Aunt Susie is grateful there were no photos of her. I sure had a great time though. Just think…. next year there will be an ADDITION to our tradition!

Just wanted to say I enjoy reading your blog and I really like the way you compose your pictures! They look great, and you’ve turned well-worn subjects (like the Capitol and the Washington Monument) into interesting pics again!

thanks, rich. i did have a few photos of the washington monument that were just it, straight on. nice photos, but boring.. everyone’s seen that 1,000x before, so i didn’t post them. i chose to post the ones from different perspectives instead.
