Washington Monument from the WWII Monument, Washington DC
Last Thanksgiving when I was in Virginia we went to Great Falls and we also went to Georgetown. We didn’t really spend any time around the National Mall so I didn’t see the World War II Memorial that opened last year. I think when I was in town earlier this year for a wedding I may have gotten a brief glance at it, but nothing for very long, so Kelly & Jeff took me to see it this past weekend. It’s kind of strange to see something between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, but the monument itself is really cool. We took our time and walked around it taking in the beauty of the sculptures as well as the warm autumn sun.

That is a nice picture of you and Kelly. Makes me think of that classic fight song from Madison way “On Wisconsin”.
“On Wisconsin, on Wisconsin wish I had the cash to pay my heating bill.
I takes some courses, drink my Old Style and I always will.
The boys on the gridiron they are heros that is what I sez.
They went from losers to win Roses thanks to Alverez!”
