Also on Friday night I went by Marshall Fields. Their holiday windows for this year weren’t officially unveiled until Saturday, but on Friday they were done with heavy drapes over the window. Most passers-by just walked on, but several of us stopped to pull the drapes back and take a sneak peak.
The first Marshall Fields holiday windows were done in 1897 and this year is the last year.. There will be holiday windows next year, no doubt, but by then the store will be called Macy’s, so this is the last year of the Marshall Fields holiday windows.

Man, that is one creepy-looking doll. The face is freaking me out!

Thanks for sharing your photos. We went today and enjoyed it very much. It is challenging to photograph with daylight glare and people around. It got my family into the holiday spirit! Happy Holidays everyone!

Rachelle, thank you very much for posting these photographs of Cindarella Windows Display at Marshall’s. I did not have my camera with me to document this year’s display but wanted to send the photographs to my friends. Your pictures were the best! Thank you again and Happy Snowy Christmas!

Watched the start to finish with most show windows for Christmas just last week on TV and enjoyed viewing the many details it takes to pull this off.
When we saw yours, we were taken back. The ooohhs and aaahhs turned into tears of memories from yester-years and what your window brought to our thoughts.
Thank you for your great eye for detail and your appreciation of window memories! You have deffinetly out done yourself this year and it was great to see the start-to-finish on TV. Fabulous! Bravo! Congratulations for your touch of class!

Who is the studio that designed and made these displays?
