Perfume Machine, Dwight, IL

In Dwight, IL we stopped at a truck stop to get gas and use the restroom. In both the men’s and the women’s there was this weird perfume machine where you could put a quarter in, choose which scent you wanted and viola! Fresh as a daisy.

At first I thought you pushed the plunger in and pulled it out and it was full of perfume you wiped on yourself, but looking at this more, I think you press the plunger in and it sprays out of those round things by each perfume scent. Weird.

You mean “voila!” as in French for “there it is” not “viola” as in a large stringed instrument. Though I’ve got to admit, a hilarious typo.

Yikes — who uses the gas station restroom perfume? And why?

My family actually manufactured these. You are correct you push in the plunger and the cologne will mist out into the air or onto you.
