Harry Caray’s Restaurant, River North, Chicago
When I first moved here I, of course, had heard of Harry Caray and knew how his name was pronounced. But I don’t think I ever noticed that extra “a” in his last name.. and I surely didn’t know that Chip Caray was a decendent of his. Only when I said it outloud to a friend that Chip Caray quit, pronounced “Chip Cuh-ray” and they laughed hysterically, did I realize I had it wrong.
I sort of redeemed myself a bit.. or didn’t feel as bad, at least, when Ging and Billy were visiting and stayed in a hotel across from Harry Caray’s restaurant. Ging asked Billy if he wanted to eat at “Harry Cuh-ray’s”. Zing!
After reading this post I’m convinced you are part of some anti-American terrorist sleeper cell..
