The pictures are quite beautiful… but just curious how any self respecting Chicagoan would end up at Navy Pier. Isn’t that the place we send tourists to keep our streets clear.

we took the kids to the chicago children’s museum which is right at the pier. so then we had lunch and walked around a bit. ive been out to the pier maybe like 5 times in 16 months. .. once every 5 months or so. once was just to go to the flower show and once was just to get on a cruise ship though. it’s not a bad walk when the weather’s nice… and the view is great.. but you’re right, i’d never go there by myself just to hang out. i’d go to one of the lakeshore parks or beaches. the tourists drive you mad at the pier. still, to go out there 2 times and play tourist is ok.
