Hi,
This is going to sound ridiculous, as the subject line suggests, but my roommate and I have a problem: we can’t seem to find a compatible third roommate who will be in Chicago this coming year. We talked about it for hours, listing the people we know (particularly at DePaul, since we’re both students there) and couldn’t come up with anyone. We joked, in a wandering conversation, that if we simply found a Mac user everything would be fine… then laughed at ourselves as I typed “Mac user Lakeview chicago” into the Google search. Even more hilarious was that it came up with your site! Now, to push the ridiculosity to the extreme, I am emailing you to ask you to meet with us to discuss potential living arrangements for the upcoming year (June-June 06). I am aware that you are a successful 29 year-old who would have no need for roommates, but it never hurts to ask, and it was fun just to take it this far.
