A small part of the Trump Tower construction has reached a height that’s the same level as the sidewalk. It was kind of strange to have the workers so close and at eye-level when you’re used to looking down in the pit at them. It makes them more real and it feels kind of like watching animals at the zoo.. with all the spectators standing there staring through the chain link.
Also, it must stuck to have everyone watch you do your job and take photos of you, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop. I’ll invite these guys over to my cube to watch me wear my headphones and work on the computer. They can feel free to take photos, if they’d like.

I’ve watched a few of these go up from across the street. It’s always amazing watching them work. There’s an art there which doesn’t get appreciated as much as it should. Not only is it beautiful choreography, executed with grace and balance, but it has a practical result.

Just found the site on google and was extremely impressed, I am a big fan of trump, but have been wondering about the status/success of the project that we heard so much about in Chicago (the place of my birth). Thanks for the great history / pics archive of the destruction and construction! – Todd
