Shoulda gone with the Lornadoone! So overlooked in the world of vending machine snacks.

  • bushra

    hate it when that happens.

  • Edwin

Haha! That’s pretty funny with the pics of things being stuck. That sucks about the M&Ms though. You should have winked at the closest guy to rattle the machine. That’s what I do whenever that happens…well, to rattle the machine that is…not to wink at the closest guy. Ewww *lmao*

so i gather you put another 65 cents in to get two?

  • Nancy

omg 65 cents? THATS ALL THAT M&MS COST?!?! Oh yeah..thats american. Thats probably equal to $1.25 Canadian. You had me all excited there for a second. I was going to ask you to send me a case of M&Ms

oh and btw What is a Lornadoone? We dont have them in Canada.

  • rachelle

i shook the machine a little and nothing seemed to happen. then i banged it and shook it again. then i was about to give up and took this photo.. then i gave it some more shakes and it came down finally. i was afraid i’d tip the machine over on me and die trying to get a 65 cent pack of M&Ms but I REALLY needed to have them.

I never had Lorna Doone. Normally I will only let myself get pretzels or low fat twizzlers out of the vending machine.

Good to hear that you got your M&Ms. I know what you mean about REALLY needing them though! One time this girl had her white cheddar popcorn bag stuck where the length of it was sitting right over where it falls through. That took some creativity to get outta there. I tapped on the flap where you reach in to grab your food a few times to make the bag jump till it fell straight through. She was happy. One of the few times one would hear “You’re my hero!” *lol* It was really cute. hehe

Our snack machine at work used to do that sometimes, too. We recently got new ones that claim to be “stick free” or something, but the items alays hang there just long enough that you think they’re going to stick before falling.

BTW, a Lorna Doone is a shortbread cookie.

  • Jenn

I hate it when that happens. Did ya kick the machine?

  • Erin

Ha! That’s happened to me before, too, and I always think it’s a sign!

  • Nancy

Mmmm shortbread. Thanks for the heads up. I dated an American for 3 years and saw a whole bunch of chocolate bars down there that we dont have up here and vice versa. Its neat :)

Anyhoo Rachelle make sure you try that Lorna Doone for me k?

  • joe^2

This is precisely the reason they have fire axes in buildings. Break through the front of the machine and claim your chocolate peanut goodness. It is perfectly justified.

“i was afraid i’d tip the machine over on me and die trying to get a 65 cent pack of M&Ms but I REALLY needed to have them.”

    omg that’s a fabulous quote! :)

dorks, I could see rather Jeannette laughing at a poor Rachelle with a toppled over machine on her, with 65 cents in her hand, rather than helping her, just kidding … hey folks, thought I see what craziness has befallen you all, and look! look at you all! Happy summer!
