Yesterday we had brunch with Andrew and Keith at the Uptown Snack Shop. Andrew and I had been meaning to get together for brunch in Uptown for quite a while so it was cool to finally do it.
Andrew suggested the Uptown Snack Shop mostly for the old school atmosphere, but also because it might be closed soon as a result of the gentrification of the neighborhood. It’s rumored that the building the restaurant is in will be either torn down or gutted to make way for new condos.
I should have taken a photo of the menu. It’s so great. The food is super cheap and the menu is straight to the point. Like “Pancakes $2.00.” Our total bill for 4 people was $17 and some change.
I don’t know much at all about Uptown and have only been there one time before. Luckily Andrew proved to be a great tour guide and gave us a mini tour after eating. More photos, including a celebrity sighting, coming soon!
