Yesterday at lunch Andrew, Aaron and I met up and went over to Borders on State to see Erin read from her new book Tales From The Scale. Scott and Amy were also there, as well as about 40 (?) other people. We’re all so proud of Erin, she did a great job reading and looked very comfortable on the stage. Erin also invited Chiara LaRotonda to read an exerpt that she had written for the book.
As I said on Chicagoist, if you’ve had issues with food/weight/body image (who hasn’t!), or if you know someone who has, or if you just want a funny read, or if you want to support a local author, buy this book!
Downstairs, on the way out, we kind of stalked Tyler Florence, from Food 911, who was having a signing at the same time as Erin.

yeh, i think the signing was over and he was just signing books for the store to have. no one was around any more. i just walked up and took a few photos.
i’m going to pick up my copy of tales… today. it’s a bit bizarre to have read about someone’s life and then go buy their book i think. or maybe i’m just bizarre. and i guess while i’m there i should buy the tyler florence book too because he’s too hot for words.
