I am looking for a good polish bakery that direct mails their product. Since I moved from OhioI cannot find a good nut roll in Charlotte, NC. This pastry has been such a Christmas tradition.

I don’t. I have to cook it or I’ll go over to my Mom’s.

There is a Russian/Polish deli in McLean, VA (20 minutes driving from me) that offers some decent Polish food .. but nowhere near the goodness of paczki — (Mama Z pronounces it “pown-chki”)

First of, that apple paczki, *drool*, it looks mighty tasty. Don’t think I’ll ever find that in my neck of the woods. Second, that first pic is gorgeous, I love how the red in the woman’s scarf, and the signs stand out, great photos!

I’m also 100% Polish and have absolutely no Polish food here in Portland, OR. My Mom used to make paczki when I was little. She filled them with fig jam and covered them in powdered sugar. Heaven!
