We have a patent pending coating that retains 100% of the snow and Ice to the roof and sill surfaces. Our Abrasive coating hangs onto the snow pack and keeps roof drains clear to provent ice build up in the first place. The water escapes threw the insulated area under the snow layer. The only snow left in place in dehydrated and harmless all the water and ICE is out of it. We would like to use these photos on our web page is that ok. Also if anyone wants our product in Chicaco we would be happy to show it to you. Thankyou Paul Blomquist 906-396-3262

Hi Rachelle,

I saw your comment on the SFist.com article about the $0.17 bag law here in San Fran. (And the ban on smoking in public places.) It seems like every day I wake up to my clock radio telling me of another nonsensical ordinance that this crazy city is trying to pass. One of the councilmen (I mean councilpeople) even said that he'd like to ban smoking in SF all together, but that may take more time. I'm not a smoker - an avid runner and outdoorsperson actually - but I actually miss smoke-filled bars in Chicago like the Elbo Room or The Note. But then I hear that Chicago is going that way too...

It's days like today that I long for the falling ice signs, dibs kiddie pools in the streets, and yes, the cold and snow of my hometown.

The sign with arrows makes me think that you should look up, but wouldn't that be dangerous, too, to encourage people to stand there, look up, and linger?

I'm glad you posted those pics. Every time I passed one of those signs, I thought, "lawsuit prevention."
