Sun-Times Park

Park

sun-times

There was a little park with a round fountain and some benches that I used to walk through every day on the way to and from work. On the north it was bordered by McDonalds, on the east was the Wrigley building, to the south was the Chicago River and to its west was the Sun-Times building. The other day when I was walking over the Michigan Avenue bridge I saw that that park is pretty much destroyed. Makes me a little sad.

The last photo was taken a few days later while walking to work. I stopped in my tracks realizing you can see straight to Michigan Avenue through the the first floor of the Sun-Times building.

Hi Rachelle all the time you spend near this decontruction project do you ever see Bill Rancic skulking around the area? If I’m not mistaken he’s project manager having won the job on “The Apprentice” version one.

Oh, that is sad. I had my first interview for an ad job in the big city in the building next-door the Sun-Times. My mom accompanied me on the trip and waited for me in that very park. After it was done, we hung out there for a bit talking and I always thought about that moment whenever I’d pass by. Sigh.
