Ice, East Ukrainian Village, Chicago
On Saturday I walked over to Milk & Honey for some lunch (get the crabcake sandwich!) and on the way back I noticed this ice. It’s on the door that blocks off the path that goes back to the coach house on our property and formed from water dripping off of the roof onto it. Later on I heard a ton of banging around when the people that live back there tried to come out. I think they’re trapped until the spring.

ha ha ! That’s funny, Sorry, Get out the hairdryer ! supposed to be sub zero by the weekend. Of course, we’re 200 miles north of you ! ha

What if in the spring you found out they never got out and tried to eat one another to fend off starvation? That would be so messed up.

well, they have access to the alley behind our house, so hopefully they wouldnt starve to death. . just be inconvenienced with having to walk around the block to get out the front.
