Yesterday Michael went to Richard’s to watch football and was surprised when his friend Alex, who lives on the West Coast, walked in the door. What a great surprise birthday gift. Little did he know that it was a distraction and when he went home there’d be like 50 people in his house waiting to surprise him with a party. Big ups to Kate, his wife, who managed to plan and carry the surprises off.

More than once last night I was applauded for “kicking it ghetto-style” with my busted up camera. Guh!
