Irving Park Brown Line station, Irving Park, Chicago
Even though I’m thankful that my El stop is underground, one good thing that I like about the outdoor stations is that they have areas where you can go and press a button and heated lamps will keep you warm.

I always loved that feature too, although it could be tough to get a spot under the lamps. The one tiny problem is that the weather doesn’t really balm up all that much on March 31. I cringed through a windy blizzardy morning in April one time, waiting 45 minutes for the Red Line. No warming lamps that day. Brrrr!
