Today my iPod turns 1 year old. It’s kind of strange because it’s one of those things that has so much become a part of my lifestyle that I don’t even know what I did without it.
Right after I bought my 10 gig iPod Apple replaced it with a 15 gig model for the same price. That kind of peeved me, since I filled up 10 gigs like nothing.
In May, I had to replace the headphones that came with it. I got the in-ear style but I don’t really like them. Other than that, it’s been a great year.

Hey Rachelle, what don’t you like about the in-the-ears? My iPod headphones need to be replaced. I actually liked the ones that came with it– the only ones that ever stayed in my ears, even while running– but they don’t sell them for my antiquated original pod, only the ones you bought. Are they worth buying>

since I recently switched jobs and no longer have to drive to work (thus, no more ipod->car connectivity needed), I’ve been commuting into work via Boston’s T and needed some new headphones as well. After doing a lot of research and asking a lot of friends I decided on these earbuds from sony. Typically I hate any headphones I have to insert *into* my ear so I was a little hesitant - however - these you can barely feel and they cancel out background noise beautifully.
give ‘em a look. they’re good.

corie - i just dont think they feel right. maybe my ear is deformed, but i tried all 3 sizes and none seem to work right.

joel - those headphones are white so everyone will think you’re using apple’s even if you’re not. heh. also, did anyone here someone comment about “i bet everyone who had on the white headphones at the polls voted for kerry?” i cant remember where i saw it.

I think the headphones-kerry comment was on gothamist.
What is the most played song on your ipod?

Hi Rachelle! Just wanted to say that I love your blog, and thanks for inspiring me to start my own blog. Love the photos, the comments and the fun commentary that your blog provides. Anywho - regarding the headphones… I hear ‘ya - I can’t stand the in ear ones from Apple (mine never stay in place no matter what I try). While they’re a bit bulky and a little pricey, the Bose Quiet Comfort II headphones are awesome - I bought a pair about a year ago, and I love ‘em. Best wishes!

I’m guilty :).
I liked these because they detach about halfway so you could replace the length of the cord with the ipod remote “extender” (I guess that’s what you call it). Black turning into white just wouldn’t look right.
