Last night I took the Blue Line to Damen and got take out sushi at Blue Fin. In the top photo, which was taken from the El platform, Blue Fin is at the butt end of the bus on the right. It took 20 minutes to make my order and in that time I took a couple photos in the restaurant’s surrounding area. The rest of these photos I somehow managed to take on the way home, in the rain, while carrying my food and my purse and text messaging on my phone.

See, this is why I love your photos. Every day I get off at the Damen stop, yet I have never seen it in quite the way you’ve portrayed above. Beautiful :)

Ma Bowden what do you expect? Rachelle’s been passed down great DNA!

That train shot is great, makes the song “Night time in the switching yard” by the late great Warren Zevon come to my mind.

Bucktown/Wicker Park To Incorporate And Take Name “Lincoln Park The Second”

Everybody’s favorite rock stars Bucktown and Wicker Park are selling out. It used to be about the art man, but now they’re releasing sugary pop songs written by Swedes and advertisements disguised as pop-art. We knew the day would come, “>rumors have b…
