What a great way to deal with illiteracy - public shame! The next time I come across someone who can’t read or write because we have failing schools or is new to the English language, I’m just gong to point and laugh. http://www.literacychicago.org
Chill out folks. I think that was more of an observation instead of some public humiliation. I think it’s a shame that some of us can’t even speak or write the language properly. I thought the sign was pretty funny, but that’s not to say if I knew who wrote it I’d walk up to them and laugh in their face. Better to be illiterate than ignorant.
right. i wasn’t pointing & laughing at illiterate people bc illiteracy is a huge and sad issue. edwin is right in saying that the photo was an observation and made me chuckle for a second. .. but that doesn’t mean i laugh in the face of illiteracy.

Love this. No offense taken (though since I’m a literate person–note my email address–I can’t see how I’d be offended).
People need to lighten up!
