Driving

This weekend I’m dogsitting for Jen & Chad while they are out of town and they left their Jeep for me to use. They’re very brave. My drive home from work on Friday was the second time I’ve drivin a car since September 2001. Yeh, I’m that jackass ahead of you in the Wrangler driving cautiously like an old lady. It does help that my last car was a Wrangler. When I drove from New York to Chicago it was my first time driving since 2001.

Chicago looks different from the driver’s seat. Driving around this morning, running errands, and going to stores I don’t normally get to without a car has helped me put the city together in my mind a little more. I may finally actually believe that Division runs east/west and not north/south.

Using a camera while driving… seems worse than using a cell-phone!! Be careful…

    Nice Knuckles.

If you haven’t driven for a while, perhaps taking pictures while doing so isn’t the best idea? But hey, it seems like it all worked out ok

only if you’re going to make the payments!

the photos were taken when i was at a stop or going very slow and i pretty much just held the camera up and pressed the button without taking my eyes off the road.

And you laughed last weekend when I picked you up and asked if you wanted to drive back to Milwaukee. You should get behind the wheel every couple of months, just so you never do turn into that old lady…
