Yesterday I went to WI to celebrate my birthday with my family. We grilled out and then went to a festival in Wauwatosa, Tosafest. My niece, Stephanie, was extremely psyched to run a 1/2 mile “Kids Fun Run” but some idiots put the wrong time on the website and we arrived right when all the kids were running in with their free tshirts and ribbons. It wasn’t a great situation and Steph was pretty upset but that was solved by treating her to fresh squeezed lemonade and some time in the kids play area. Later on - dinner at Applebee’s. Thanks to my parents, Aunt Sue, Nancy and my brother’s family for the gifts!

Dang, I was at Tosa Fest Sat. night too. It would have been too funny to have seen you. (I was the guy drinking beer. haha) Hope you had a good one.

we were there during the day, not at night. it was pretty lame and poorly organized.

Belated Birthday greetings! The Menomonee looks very inviting.

Sounds like Tosa. At night it was the same as any other local festival - food, beer, overated cheesy cover band.

Sorry for making you go to such a “lame and poorly organized” event. I hope you at least liked the book I got you. :’(

uh. whatever. i meant in regard to the run that steph missed. i didn’t say that i didn’t have a good time with with you guys. just that the festival wasn’t well run. no body knew what was going on there. you must have skipped over the part where i thanked you for my gift.

Sorry to stir up the poop pot! We had a blast at Tosa Fest Sat. night. (I just don’t care for the Love Monkeys.) Good food, nice atomosphere at the festival though, at least from the perspective behind my beer cup.

just a note on that messed up kid’s run.
* the run was free…
* if you wanted a shirt, you needed to order it and send in money ahead of time. No shirts available the day of the kid’s fun run
* because they screwed up the start time, there was a whole BOX of shirts left at the start of the run when we got there coz most of the people hadn’t even arrived yet !

Happy Birthday Rachelle!!!!!
I knew this guy from “Tosa” once, Tom Petersen was his name. Nice guy. I worked with him at Paxuxent River Naval Air Station back in 1984. Wow time sure flies.
