The Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park was designed by Frank Gehry and is thought to be the most sophisticated outdoor concert venues of its kind in the United States. The pavilion has a billowing “headdress” of stainless steel ribbons connected to an overhead trellis of crisscrossing steel pipes over the lawn seating area. When not in use, the seating area acts as a “great lawn” in where it’s fun to picnic or toss a frisbee around. Both of which we did today when my family came down.

Do people’s frisbees hit the trellis? I’m such a spaz, I’d probably get mine stuck there somehow.

I’m very impressed with your pictures…I don’t own a digital elph, but I’m struck by the very saturated color in the images, as well as their crispness. Are you adding any post-photo touchups to these images? (such as in paintshop or adobe?) Or are these right from the camera?

jen - i didnt see any frisbees getting in the trellis. it’s pretty tall.
kevin - frank gehry agrees with you. .he’s said that chicago is the “best city, architecturally, of the modern cities”
ben - these photos were taken by me, my brother and my dad. we all have elphs… although theirs are newer and better than mine! i did some color correcting and cropping on some of the photos, but that’s it.
