Recently I started noticing that there are several restaurants and businesses that I pass by multiple locations of on the walking part of my commute to and from work. It’s interesting to see how different each location looks depending on where it’s located, yet how each is branded similarly so the consumer recognizes what it is.

    … And I feel like such a geek because I’m going, “Ooh! I went to that Starbucks! I remember it!” - as if I had some sort of unique tourist-ic experience.

    hmm…i should try this. except it would be pretty much one photo of everything. unless i grouped the bodegas.

    yeh, i only took photos of the places i pass more than one location of. there are a ton that i pass one location of - pizza hut, wendy’s, taco bell, pearle vision, cosi, corner bakery, walgreens, etc.

    I used to work around Astor Place, and there were three Starbucks within 3-4 blocks of each other - one in the Barnes & Noble, one at Cooper Square, and the other at 2nd and 9th Street. The other night, Tien and I are walking down 9th and we see that Starbucks is closed! We gasp, but then we realize a new one had opened across the street (SE corner, vs. old NE corner).
