On Memorial Day I made my frist trip to Wrigley Field with Dallas, Killian and Liz to see the Cubs vs. Astros in what was one of the most fun baseball games that I’ve ever been to. And I don’t mean the action on the field. All I’ve got to say is that it’s probably a good idea to try to eat something before you get to the bleachers at 2 p.m. or else you’re going to be pretty wasted and acting all goofy by the time you get to your friends’ barbecue after the game! And you might wake up the next morning wondering how all those photos of you doing retarded things got on your camera. But anyway, the Cubs won, Killian taught me the correct way to cheer for Alou, and the rain ended up not being too bad. Lots of fun!

We went to the Padres vs. Brewers game on Saturday. It was Jessica’s and Amanda’s first time to Miller Park. We got soaked on the way from parking to the stadium, dispite having umbrellas. Milwaukee lost, but it was still a good time.

so what’s the right way to cheer for moises?
rachelle // Jun 2, 2004 at 12:29 pm
“ALLOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUU” really loud & low. Reminds me of how we used to cheer for george koonce at Lambeau.

man, that’s just too obvious. i was thinking it would involve peeing onto your hands, hi-fiving everyone around you and then mooning the field and then yelling “aim for our pasty butts!”
Killian // Jun 2, 2004 at 1:38 pm
The peeing on your hands is optional… Rachelle also got to see two homeruns while I was in the bathroom and multiple homosexual baseball references from a guy who was trying to look like the dude from that 70s show.
Who is the persons face at the top of the comment page – Hillary Clinton?
rachelle // Jun 2, 2004 at 1:50 pm
killian – i dont really remember the homeruns.. but now that you mention it that craig biggio heckler DID look like hyde from that 70s show. and how did i remember craig biggio’s name when i can barely name anyone on the cubs roster? maybe because people alternated screaming “craig” and “biggio” in my ear for hours on end!
as far as hilary clinton.. i dont know if that’s a compliment or if i should take offense!

who were those morons screaming from the bleachers? And at a baseball game? i never!

Who’s the hot chick on the right?!
Wow wow wowwee!
It’s great to see Rachelle rocking the city and not slaving away, too much.
Happy Summer Rachelle!

You know.. when I was at Wrigley and they started that Alou chant, I thought they were booing him. I kept asking people around me (being one of the few wearing a Giants hat), why are you guys booing your own guy? And they said, “No, we are saying Aloooooouuuuu”. Sounds a hell of a lot like Booooooo.
rachelle // Jun 3, 2004 at 9:15 am
when we cheered for Koonce at Lambeau it also sounded like “boooooooo”

Cubs vs. Dodgers
Yesterday Kristin and I skipped out of work to join her parents for some Cubs action at Wrigley. The Cubs lost but we still had a good time. See also: » The Cubs Beat The Astros » Cubs vs. Astros…
