Dallas recently looked up My Morning Jacket on Rhapsody and they were listed in the Country Music genre. The album I have of there’s, The Tennessee Fire, is mellow and haunting, but definitely not Country Music. The My Morning Jacket that played at Metro on Friday night was definitely rocking out. I mean, electric-guitars-and-headbanging rocking out. It was my first time to Metro and although the band played music very different from the music that’s on the album I have, it was a fun show. My favorite songs from The Tennessee Fire are Picture of You and I Will Be There When You Die.

I’m currently listening to My Morning Jacket. A concert from 2004’s Bonnaroo Festival. It rocks a great rocking. You need to get the CD “It Still Moves” by them. It’s fantastic. They also have a new CD called “X” coming out in September.
