For Christmas I gave my niece Stephanie a set of notecards. One of these cards has Woody Woodpecker on it. For my sister-in-law’s birthday, Steph cut the square card into the shape of Woody’s head and wrote this message inside:

day Mom! You
just turned
26, and I kind o-
f think 26 is old, t-
hat means I’m supposed
to think you’re geting
old, but I dont.
Just to make
sure you’re not loosing your
memory hear is a math
problem.

Very cute — I have a box of cards my daugthers have given me through the years — for Father’s Day, etc. — it’s always fun to look at them years later… I don’t know if it’s more fun for them or me — Thanks for sharing…

That was 100% Steph, with no input from anyone as far as I know. (The different shades are from her correcting a couple of mistakes that she made with a pencil that was sharper/duller.)

That has got to be the best post yet. I think I have read the card about 5 times now.. I just can’t get over how great that card is.

WOW, I remember when we were down for Steph’s 8th bday party i saw that card on the counter. I read it over and over. She amazes me. Amanda’s Bday is the day before Steph’s. I never realized that she cut out the shape ! I thought that was the card ! She is way too cool. Gotta luv ‘er…. :p
