The Map Room is a great bar on the corner of Armitage & Hoyne (1 Block west of Damen:1949 N Hoyne Ave; around the block from Glory). I used to live down the block. Great beer selection w/ a hand pull tap.
Welcome to Chicago, by the way. If you’re interested, I’ll send you some suggestions of places and things off the beaten path. You also need to get a hot fudge sundae at Margies (Western & Armitage) it’s a real ice cream shop. The hot fudge is homemade. Enjoy.

Oh, I’ve been to Glory so I sort of know where that is. Glory was good! I’ll have to try out the Map Room. Margie’s sounds delicious too!!!!!
To everyone who has offerred, I’m ALWAYS interested in hearing about hole in the wall places that are off the beaten path!

Your friend has just checked number 28 off his list.

Now put it back in the envelope and write him a note saying “I’m not that cheap you magnificent bastard, next time send me the good stuff.”

I’ve only done 8 things on that list… I guess I’m not quite a drukard yet.
