Last night Dahlia had a party in honor of her friend’s visit to NYC. I knew Dahlia, Sam and Tien going in but there were many other people there and it was nice to meet them. Dahlia made some fabulous chorizo/potato/raisin empanadas that I must get the recipe for!

That looks like a wonderful friendly party.
There is the photo of Marilyn Monroe on the wall - the Richard Avedon picture. I went to the Avedon exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art just expecting to see portraits on white - but the Marilyn Photo showed so much of her, as did his other photos - it was an amazing exhibit.

I’ve never tried those type of empanadas, the ones that are pretty popular here are pumpkin, and sweet potato, you can buy them at just about any bakery here.
