Omigod! If they were stolen by the same person, he could create the Anti-Christ!!!

This is fantastic. But perhaps Baby Jesus is not off with the gnome, but is rather about to be eaten.

Hee hee, did you look at http://whereismygnome.com? The “how you can help” link is especially relevant. :)

Perhaps it is the work of the Dark Lord Sauron….

hmm. maybe i should send a link to my site to the gnome guy to tell him someone is “helping” him in soho!

i thought it strange that i passed both of these missing signs on a short walk to brunch on new years day.

Maybe there are traveling the world in search of adventure like in that movie Amilie

Don’t write this guy! Even more strange is the toll-free #. That’s a bit expensive for a joke. Turns out the missing gnome is a viral marketing campaign for travelocity.com. See: http://ad-rag.com/107627.php, and http://urbanlegends.about.com/b/a/053738.htm

despite the travelocity thing, I saw that the gnome was spotted in WISCONSON - rachelle - anything to say about that?.. has your family been involved? the gnome WAS spotted in Wisconson.

the gnome campaign is also in the times. it’s not too viral if it’s got a tv ad.

  • 14 rachelle // Jan 5, 2004 at 1:03 pm

i think the times reads this site for inspiration for new stories. heh.

  • 15 hubs // Jan 5, 2004 at 1:58 pm

pretty soon the time will be writing about the recent beautiful sunset out in Wisconsin.

  • 16 joe // Jan 5, 2004 at 3:32 pm

Wow, you scooped them twice in one posting. I wonder if travelocity knows about this campaign?

  • 17 rachelle // Jan 6, 2004 at 7:54 am

bleh. i saw the travelocity commercial last night on tv with the gnome in it.. and that’s exactly what i wanted to do to it, joe.

i saw that spot too. it’s stupid. what’s with the retarded accent, i don’t get it. why is travelocity doing this?

  • 19 Anthony // Jan 10, 2004 at 4:22 am

  • 20 rachelleb // Jan 10, 2004 at 8:36 am
